I know I have not been keeping everyone up to date on everything lately. And I feel not good because of that (and other things). There are many reasons for this.

For one I have been busy much more lately, then I had several things go wrong on my server and on my desktop. Both of which kinda got to me, along with other real life things and online things that got to me. I also have been not feeling to well, caused by the aforementioned things and other things, like neck pains. The server is doing good right now. The 2 250GB HDDs working in RAID 1 are working nicely (mirrors the data across both drives). I have all the valve games downloaded (but not configured) in separate directories. Which means that (after a little work making server .cfg's and adding admin plugins and such) I can run any Steam game that Valve has a dedicated server for. Things like Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Dark Messiah, Deathmatch Classic, Day of Defeat, Day of Defeat: Source, Garry's Mod, Opposing Force, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, Ricochet, The Ship, Sin 1, Team Fortress 2, Team Fortress Classic, ThreadSpace: Hyperbol. Not to mention any Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 modification.

As for the website, I have yet to get the downloads section up again, and there are probably other sites that don't work, and some I need to remove from the top-of-the-page navigation bar. I did set reconstruct the blog community site http://blogs.peany,net/ using Drupal ( http://www.drupal.org/ ) for the front page, and individual Wordpress installations ( http://www.wordpress.org/ ) for each person's blog (if you want one, ask). First person to see this sentence and contact me about it, gets a special surprise. This makes it easier to upgrade, add themes, and addons rather than using Wordpress-mu ( http://mu.wordpress.org/ ) which doesn't have as many themes or addons as the full Wordpress, and isn't updated as often.

The Sven Co-op server has been up for over a week now, I added a few big map packs to it. for now rather than go through all the maps I can find individually. Use listmaps in the server and it will return If there are any maps specifically you want on the server, or if anyone notices any missing files, or any files that are not downloaded to your client, it would be nice if you could point them out to me here, in the chat room on Xfire, PM on Xfire, in the IRC Channel #Peany.net on GameSurge (ghost town >.>), on any of my Instant Messenger accounts, or email administrator@peany.net. Shouldn't have a hard time contacting to me...

I also plan to redo the rules for the website, forums, chat rooms, and servers. As well as overhaul the admin list. Stay tuned.

Not sure if I told you guys this, or if I posted it on my blogs and not here yet, so I will go ahead and say it again, and add on more info, and some new happenings.

Well... I restored (or tried to) the data that was on the server's two HDDs onto another one, the important stuff. I think the app I used wasn't too good, because it corrupted my files (or so I thought). Turns out it probably read the wrong MFT (Master File Table) or the MFT got corrupt. It only seemed to do that with some of the files. Sadly this included a bunch of music, and photos. Thankfully the photos I had, i redownloaded from Photobucket by signing up for their Pro account (which I did for free for 1 year thru TrialPay) and getting them from Photobucket's FTP site. The music I just redownloaded from Napster so thats all good too.

I also lost the server configs and plugins. I redownloaded the ones I could find. And I can make the configs from scratch. But there were a few I couldn't get again. Namely SnarkServ. So that means when I put the Sven Co-op Server back up, it wil be sans SnarkServ. I of course have all the MySQL data backed up from JAN 31 (lost a month or two in the corruption) so that isn't going anywhere.

Right now I am running SpinRite on the server and some other diagnostics and maintenance (like MemTest86+). I also purchased a 250GB SATA HDD, I hope to get another one next Monday (May 12th) so I can complete my RAID 1 set.

So hopefully this will be the last of the troubles for the server for a long while. Thank you all for your patience while I get everything running normally.

As a reward I am planning on doing some contests, but I don't know what the reward can be for them since SnarkServ is M.I.A. and hours there would be pointless. Maybe some special abilities from another AMXmodX plugin for a little while, who knows.

Feel free to leave feedback (as you are always welcome to do) as to what plugins you would want on the new server, if we should go to a different mod for a little while (and bring up the Sven Server for special occasions and map premiers and stuff like that).
