Map Change and Status Update
I have changed the map to SanMarino_Se3_Night (look for download soon on http://downloads.peany.net ). This map has an ass-load of properties: 12 Apartments, 5 Houses, 10 Hideouts, 7 Offices, Club, PD, MD, 4 Garages, 3 Storage Lockers, a Hotel with a Diner and 4 Hotel Rooms, an Aral Gas Station, and a Mall with an Edeka Supermarket, a Tech Shop, and a Bar. That makes 53. The source also exists for this map, and I notice some minor things that I would like to fix/tweak so stay tuned. Also, I did keep the old database, so we could go back if people want to, or I can go to any map people want and vote for. In other news, the state of The Specialists is looking more grim in the previous week. About 1-2 Months ago, the http://www.specialistsmod.net website and forums went down. Some say they stopped paying for it, some say the forums database got corrupted. Who knows. The devs did say that they practically abandoned the mod after 3.0 Final came out. And in the past week, a series of (probably) unrelated DoS/DDoS attacks have been occurring on practically every single TSRP server. The source of a few of the attacks on at least one of the TSRP servers out there has been confirmed. As for the attacks on me, I have a few theories, a few are concrete. Apparently one of the reasons one of the attacks was launched on me was because I “host the server on my home connection”, but they seem to have stopped for now, hopefully.
As for my model pack, work continues on it, new models are made all the time. I have been telling people that a new pack is coming out “in a week” for the past month now. I have been busy administering my server, other servers ( http://RoleplayLovers.com (now dead), http://NukeSilo.net ), and at the http://Guns4Back2School.com community which hosts a couple Team Fortress 2 Servers, a Natural Selection server, and a few Left 4 Dead 2 Servers, as well as Ventrilo. So hopefully it will come out soon. I also want to work on packing up maps for The Specialists too, thanks to files provided by Shadow Jones.
